Well I think that I found a T4R after looking for far too long. Going to check it out later tonight and I'll post if I get it or not.

Not to fond of the wheels but I'm sure I could sell them. Hopefully everything checks out!

Just called my dealer, they have no record of doing the lower ball joint recall service. Try working that into the price :-p Toyota has no service records at all for that vehicle.

I dig that color though! Pretty classy looking ride!
 
Slightly off topic but two things about this ad are Red Flag to me:

1.) No Phone #
2.) All Capital Letters

Not saying there's anything wrong with that but when you take into account very limited details about the vehicle, pretty low price, it would cause me to really look everything over closely. Title, registration, VIN plates and VIN tags on the body panels.

The all caps with no contact # at a cheap price screams spammer/ scammer to me, or possibly a dealership (even though the catagory in the link posted says "cars & trucks - by owner". I hope for your sake it's legit 'cause that's a great price for that truck.
 
Dont just factor in the lbj work. There are other things to look for and do if they havent been done. See the buyer guide sticky. And be sure to ask about the title history. A carfax or something similar should show things as well. I bought a 30 day unlimited vin search from autocheck and only used it once. But it backed up everything the seller told me about my 3rd gen. So some cheap peace of mind there.
 
That posting seems really fishy. If it were sale by private owner you would think that he would make it a large point to show off those rims, they can't be cheap. That price is also way to low and is also asking OBO. The descriptive words themselves seem really off; privacy glass, premium sound, dual air bags. Who uses those descriptions as a private seller?!
 
Here's the skinny after hearing from the owner. It is legit but it has a rebuilt title. I have never owned vehicle with one but it may be worth looking at. I know where it is located and will swing by there tomorrow at lunch.
The owner sent ms his phone number to call him and I'll do it tomorrow after looking at it in person if I'm still interested.
I did a carfax report that showed the rebuilt title ext...

What do you guys think?
 
Rebuilt title, I take that means salvaged title. I would see if there is any way to find out why it's a rebuilt title. The only rebuilt title I would buy is a theft recovery, my $0.02.
 
Run! Stay away from it, better off with higher miles and never been wrecked. You'll only be buying someone's headache if you buy this one.

I think it depends on what happened to it and what you plan on doing with it. If you plan on holding onto it for a long time, then the title thing won't be as big of a deal. If you ever plan on selling it down the road and want to get any sort of decent resale out of it, pass.
 
Well....I just read through the carfax in detail and the salvage title comes from an accident where the driver T-boned another car and damaged the front and right side of the runner. See the attached report.

Bummer!! I think that I am going to pass on this one.

Keep an eye for me on one guys/girls! I am even willing to drive for a good one.
