i just got all my rear lights tinted. it only took them about 4 hours to do it. they took off all of my rear lights and reflectors and prepped them to paint. they mixed black auto paint with clear coat, then used a spray gun. they put three coats on it. and they taped off my reverse lights. it turned out really cool. i payed $250. not bad huh. they took them off for me, tinted them, and reinstalled them. good deal. here's some pics.

I like how you left the reverse clear.. It looks really good. I just think it is a little too dark for my taste.

That looks really good, especially with the bumper reflectors painted too. The only thing I'd be worried about is getting pulled over and ticketed. I had taillight covers years ago that served the same purpose, and I got a ticket for those.

Looks sweet, but is it worth 5x more than the AVS taillight blackouts? However, it is the best looking painted tails I have seen on a 4runner. An advantage of the AVS is you can snap them off if a cop pulls you over.

AVS sucks... i bought it and it doesn't fit and it's too dark, and now it just sitting on my garage .... unless someone want to buy it for me

i tinted my tail light lighter than 2004rnr have. and i didn't cover the reverse light, so it's all black. and i've been followed by cops before and *knock on wood* i have not got any ticket

luxury,
i blacked out the front and rear emblems including the V8 in the grill. all i did was pop out the front emblem and V8 badge and i bought a new rear one. the front emblem i used a flat head screwdriver and poped it off. the rear one i had to heat it with a blow dryer and peel it off. i had to buy a new one cuz the adhesive didn't come off right. after i got them off, i just sprayed them with black spray paint. except i left my i-force badge chrome. just wanted non 4runner owners to know that there's a V8 now. you probably knew how to do this already i'm sure, but i just wanted to be helpful.

First off, do you have any pics? What year Camry? Do they fit exact? How much? I'll probably end up just doing what 2004rnr did since that is what I did to my license plate frame and it looks great and has lasted nicely. Just a matter of saving some money.

i think it's for the new camry

it's not really perfect fit. the front one fit, just swicth it. For the rear one, i have to cut to tab and just use the double sided tape that come with it and it's a little bit smaller then the original. i bought it from ebay for $40

i have decided that my tails are just too dark. i don't want the hassle if i get a ticket later or messed with. so i got the 2006 LED tails. they fit perfect and it was really easy to install thanks to alexjet's instructions. took me about 10 minutes to install. they look so cool. i'll post some pics. i did leave the reflectors and the spoiler brake light tinted.

Cool !!!
I'm happy that my instructions were helpful. Post some pictures. You'll probably get a close look like '06 model, due to tinted bumper lights ('06 model doesn't have those lights, what I personally thing is not a good idea. I do like the look of my '05 rear with bumper lights).

Did you know you can buy a spray tint paint for few bucks? I saw alot of DIY about civics sedan tinting and it looks great. And so i tinted my corner lights. I've seen alot of cars that cover their whole front lights and so i just wanted to tint my corner lights which is only the orange piece. It looks great on my black 4runner. And i'm pretty sure i wouldn't get pulled over for that because I didn't tint the whole corner. I'll post a picture up when i get home from school.

Yes, i also painting my front "T" Toyota emblem black. It looks okay but i might paint it silver. It used to be gold/yellow.
