I traded my 11 trail for a land cruiser and am sad

Loved my black 11 trail w/kdss.
Ended up needing a 3rd row. Had a 08 4Runner before that was paid off.
Also got tired of the payments.
I am taking a risk and may be a little crazy, but bought a 2000 black land cruiser. 145k on clock
Had enough equity in my 4Runner to get a check from the dealership for 1k and no longer have a car payment
Have always wanted a land cruiser. Most I find are rusted or abused.
The land cruiser is a one owner. All maintenance and preventive maintenance done at Toyota. Never taken off-road. Every possible fluid has been changed in the last 20,000 miles, timing Belt and water pump have been changed, exhaust manifolds replaced a a few gasket seals were replaced. Brake service front and back and decent tires unti I upgrade
No rips or tears in the leather, no carpet or seat stains, the 2nd and 3rd row look like they were never used.
It was to hard to pass up. Hope no major issues in the near future.
Hope to keep for a few years and get back into a 6th gen runner down the road.
Anyway this is the best forum and I appreciate all the help over the years.

Congrats! 100 series LCs are great! Every model has it's weakness, but they are very good rigs right out of the box. Enjoy that V8 power!

I had a 99 LC. Got it used with 68K and traded it 3 years later with 110K. I loved everything about it. One of the best vehicles I've ever owned. I would have kept it but I needed a truck and got a new Tundra. Good luck with yours.

Thanks for the encouraging comments. I am still feeling nervous and hoping nothing big comes up over the next few years.
Amazingly this rig has its original shocks and struts so this is going to be first on the to do list.
If this vehicle does me good I would like to get a 6th gen tuner a few years in

decent tires unti I upgrade

Those are Michelin LTX truck and SUV tires. Those are the gold standard tires. Long lasting (~100k miles) and comfortable.

What kind of "upgrade" are you contemplating?


FYI: The pictured tire looks like it was produced in week 30 of 2011. Be certain to start checking them regularly for age cracking starting next year.
