hey i wanted to start a thread with sound clips or videos of everyones custom exhaust. im looking for something really throaty and im not sure with system to go with. anyone have any ideas? and if you have a custom set up post it on here so i know what im getting into thanks :guitar3:

what?! another tucson runner and you havent been on http://www.toyota-4runner.org/general-discussions/91103-tucson-4runners.html well your runner sounds sick! can you post a pic of where the exhaust comes out? only 55 bucks sounds like i may have to drop by this weekend. how long did they take for the install?
 
Ok so I wanted to get my exhaust done soon and so I called discount muffler here in Tucson and I'm meeting up with them when I get off work. I might be going with either magnaflow or dirty deeds depending on what they think will sound the best. Also I think I'm going to have it come out in front of the back wheels to give it a bit more of an aggressive look. So later today hopefully I will be able to post my new setup!
 
so they actually had a runner in there with the magnaflow on it and it just didnt sound right. they had left the resonator on and the exhaust was cat back and it just didnt sound as mean as the dirty deeds did in the video so i resisted and am now waiting for a dirty deeds muffler.
 
yup already emailed him. hes really busy at the moment so he wont be making any until late august early september so im just gonna have to wait :fishing:

Sorry about the delay, yeah it was like $100 for the muffler from Dirty Deeds, and like $55 for the install. Let me know if you wanna hear mine in person. I'm out in Marana around I-10 and Tangerine.
 
I wanna hear both when you get yours on Tucson4runner! I'm at cortaro farms and thornydale....looking for the right sound. Has dirty deeds gotten back to you yet?
 
i just finished installing a K&N cone filter, along with a 14" magnaflow...she definately screams now...i'll try to get a video tomorrow...i need to finish some welds before i make the video.
 
Yeah i def heard yours especially when we were doin 90 passing those cars on the way back. Sounded really clean. I would probably have gotten that same setup. Might still if dirty deeds falls through.

i was thinking about getting a K&N but have heard some bad things bout them how much did you spend?
