Ice Link and SIRIUS?

I currently have a Blitzsafe AUX interface installed in my '04 SR5 in order to connect my iPod and SIRIUS directly to my stereo. In order to switch between the units I have to plug the 1/8-inch jack to the device I want to listen to.

I'm looking at getting the Ice Link and I'm wondering if there is a way to keep the SIRIUS and iPod plugged in directly to the stereo at the same time. Any ideas? How does the Ice Link connect to the head unit?

If the Icelink has two sets of inputs, you should be in good shape for connecting both the iPod and Sirius. I believe most or all of the auxiliary input devices connect to the headunit through the CD changer port.

I have the USA Spec auxiliary adapter ($60) with two sets of inputs. USA Spec also sells an Ipod specific adapter ($110) which will power the Ipod and allow you to use your deck or steering wheel controls to access playlists from the iPod, plus it has a set of RCA's to hook up a second source such as a Sirius unit. The less expensive adapter will not charge the Ipod, you'll have to control the Ipod from its clickwheel, but it sounds fine. If you use the iPod a lot, I would suggest spending the extra $60 so the iPod can be stored completely out of sight in the glovebox or console.

I don't know if the Ice Link has that extra aux in. I checked out the USA Spec and it is pretty cool. The only thing that sucks is that it doesn't display track information (it doesnt right???).

I pretty much figured out the audio part, now how do I hardwire for power both the iPod and SIRIUS?

The iPod specific adapter from USA Spec (PA11-TOY) will power your iPod. I don't think it will display any text on your head unit.

There are a few ways to power the Sirius unit, which can probably be found in other threads. The way I powered mine was by using an accessory outlet from Radio Shack and a Mini Add-A-Circuit from Pep Boys. Check out this link for details.
