The first one is the Portland ice storm right?

I remember seeing that on the news..

I was living in Colorado at the time of the second video. I think it ended up in a 60+ car pile up.

Scary stuff. I'm kindof glad I don't have to deal with that weather nowadays.

Well, if the first video is the Portland video, then it's not a typical occurrence in that area. I don't think chains would have made a difference.

For the Colorado video, chains would have made no difference. Cars were at the top of the hill and just sliding down. Didn't require someone to brake because of panic and cause a slide, it was almost a frictionless surface.
