Ice Storm after the Snow

Rained last night and all day today. Very cold temperatures. Unusual to see ice forming on the trees here, so I took a picture with my new camera. I went to BestBuy to get a bigger memory card for it today and the 4runner handled the icy, slushy hills no problems. Passed by some cars that couldn't do the grade :) . Oh well they have to back up and wait for sand.

Bridgestone Dueler H/T D840

Toolman--

What tires are you running on?

They are as cheap as $75 at TireRack. But I can't really complain. I just would like some better wet/snow braking.

The Bridgestone was the stock tire that came on my truck. I have rolled the idea of getting a dedicated winter set of wheels and rubber for about 6 months. But I can't seem to find a cheap set of 16" wheels that are correct for the 4th gen. I keep watching eBay, sooner or later I'll get them.

I recommend the Bridgestone Revos or Michelin Cross Terrains. I've got the michs myself and they handle very well in snowy Alaska. Yeah, yeah, they ain't cheap, but niether is your 4runner.

Gotta love that traction control though, eh?
