Icon Install question???

Hey everyone

I'm part way through my install of my Icon Stage 2 lift and was just wondering if this looks right.

Is there supposed to be a cap on top of the uniball joint? And should there be a gap between the UVA and the vertical arm there? I just feel like the joint is really exposed to dirt.

Also, I only got the passenger side done... How do I get the uniball joint to flex so I can line it up easier for the driver side?

Thanks

Nice system,.. pretty much what I have on mine. Yes,.. there are supposed to be dustcaps on there but can't remember if they are optional. Here's a pic of what they look like. Also,.. I just stuck the uni-ball into it's hole first and the arm has enough leverage for you to wrestle it around in order to align it.

Ok thanks for the response. Starting the driver side now. We'll see how that goes...

The caps don't come with the stage II kit and are optional, just installed mine yesterday and I bought the caps separate.

My bar, it looked like your UCA bolt was bent down and separated from shock tower mount! Maybe it's the sideways pic that messed me up!

Ok good. Yea I don't know why my pics always rotate when I go to post them. I'm about to start the back so just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I purchased dust caps separately. To be honest though, I think they weren't worth the extra cost as they are just plastic pieces with 3M double-sided sticky tape around the edge. I think a lot of people don't use them and are perfectly fine.

my total chaos arms dont have a cap, uniball is still great after 3 years. Dont worry about it.

Alright. Thanks everyone! Is there anything else you guys do to help maintain the struts,UCAs etc...? I would hate to see my rust spread to the shiny new parts. Tomorrow I plan on trying to contain the rust with POR15. Any other suggestions?
