ICON Rear Coils for 2.0 VS Series?

I've looked, and looked, and looked for a good suspension set for my 99 limited, and all I ever get is more indecisive.

It's my DD, and I plan to go on moderate trails to camp spots 2x a month.
The roads I drive are extremely rough.

I'm planning purchase the Bilstein 6112 front shock/ coil setup, and run it at about 2" of lift.

I would like the rear to be level/ ever so slightly higher, than the front. (Little bit of rake)

I plan to get an ARB front bumper around the end of the year, and potentially a rear bumper next year.

The rear shocks i'm thinking about getting are the ICON 2.0 VS Series Rear Shock Set for 1996-2002 4Runner (56514 x2), from Wheelers..

What springs would be best for the setup i'm looking for?

Also I will be swapping all the rubber goodies in the suspension such as:
ball joints, sway bar bushings, tie rods, etc....

If you are planning on putting an after market rear bumper, I’d wait and get heavier duty coils. I had the Icon 2.0 on the rear before I replaced my bumper, then lost an inch with the new bumper. I ended up replacing them with the Icon 3” overlander coils and love the way they ride. It leveled my ride back to where I wanted it. OME and Toytec also make similar products.

So you're still running the same shocks, but upgraded the springs?

I can't find the actual ICON 2.0 VS springs, so I was thinking of running OME 2890 springs..

Basically i'd like to buy the shocks & coils from wheelers.com, but if there is a better spring to run with the ICON rear shock, i'm all ears...

ICON doesn't make coils that are for the 3rd gen. I think the guy that commented above was speaking from experience on his 5th gen. But I would definitely suggest getting the OME 890 coils for the rear. They gave me 3" of lift in the rear, which they were supposed to, and looked great with my 2.25" of lift in the front. So I think they will pair great with the 6112's. If you are planning on getting a rear bumper with a tire swingout and jerry cans and all the shi-bang, I would suggest the OME 891 that helps with extra weight. Either of those two coil options should pair nicely with some bilstein 5100's. Any specific reason you want the ICON 2.0's in the rear vs. 5100's?

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up.

I didn't have a reason honestly, I just usually know with car parts, you get what you pay for..

However, after reading the warranty's for each company, it seem the 5100 set up is the way to go.

ICON suggest sending the shock in every 15,000 miles for road/ dirt driving style, and honestly that would be at least once a year for me.

ICON has a 1 year warranty it seems ( I could be wrong), whereas Bilstein has a limited lifetime.

Still haven't pulled the trigger on anything, so this discussion is far from over.
