ICON Suspension

Hello, All!

I had ICON on my FJ and I am going that route with my T4R. I am hoping fellow ICON people will respond with pictures, comments, and concerns:

1. Tire sizes- What are y'all running? Does your spare fit in the rear spare carrier?

2. Wheel spacers and size?

3. BMC?

4. Body lift used?

Please do not flame this thread or reply with other lifts. I have scowered some threads, but I am not getting the answers needed. There is a wealth of knowledge in here, but the bad from that is it can become a rabbit hole... in particular the wheel/tire thread has missing pictures and some trucks that don't list their specifics.

THANKS IN ADVANCE to all of you who will help in my quest!

2. No spacers. OEM TRD FJ 6 spokes. BS specs can be found around here, but i believe they are 4.875 BS

Don't have Icon, I wish I did, but I do know that you will be hard pressed to fit anything bigger in the spare location. Some guys running 32-33" tires have deflated them slightly, tied them with a ratchet strap to pull them away from the suspension, but not the route I like personally. There are several other options of course, offroad bumper with mount, custom on rack or in back, but that's all your preference and likes.
Looking forward to your build too! :) Have fun man! :driving:

I'm running Icons and couldn't be happier with my set up and over all performance and ride quality!

I have 2.5 Ext coils up front and 2.0 long travel shocks accompanied with Metal Techs long travel kit along with a 1.5 daystar spacer on the driver side rear and a 1" cornfield spacer on the pass side rear. I do also have a 1/2" Body lift.

My current tire size is 285/70/17 which is about 33"
I have aftermarket wheel so no spacers and I think my back spacing is 4.25 but I may be wrong. I did have some rubbing on my front bumper while in reverse but I just trimmed it now I have a aftermarket bumper. I've never any issues with my body mount, I know some people do but this has never been a problem for me. I do have to keep my spare on my roof because It will no longer fit in the stock spare location, but I plan on adding a aftermarket rear bumper with tire carrier so it's a somewhat temperay solution.

I hope this helps, I would just keep researching and check out others build threads with similar set ups to what you want to run. That's always been the most helpful thing for me when doing research and also why this forum is so great.
