Icon wheel paint chipping

Has anyone seen this happen before?

Looks like the paint is chipping in one specific spot. Icon support seems to think I did damage to this one spot on my wheel, but all the damage is on one specific spot and nowhere else.

Is this common?

I guess I didn’t realize I’d have paint chips after 6 months of ownership.

I got rock chips all over the damn place and I barely got 6k miles.

My FN Wheels have some chips on it as well.

Yeah it's driven. I guess I expected the paint to last a fair bit longer, but I'm comparing to the OEM wheels so I guess that's not a valid comparison.

It's definitely got some kind of black coating on it, granted not on the whole wheel.
