Hey all. I just bought my 4runner yesterday, it is my first Toyota, my first 4runner, and my first 4x4. It's a '98 V6 SR5 that's been kitted out like a Limited, but still has the 5spd manual. Kinda odd, but whatever. Anyway, bought it from my cousin who's had it for the last 5 years. It's got just over 185k on it and he's put about 100k on it himself driving back and forth from Alaska to the states.
Here's a crappy picture I took when I took it to get a vehicle inspection before I bought it. Only thing they told me was to get the diff and the xfer case fluids changed. Gave it a clean bill of health after that.
This site was a lot of help to me already with knowing what to look for and what to expect. Probably won't go crazy with mods or anything, but I'm still excited to do a few things I've seen here. Probably start with the Tundra brakes since it feels like the rotors need resurfaced anyway.
