Ideas for getting stock shocks out??!?

I cant seem to get the stock shocks to stop turning as I try to loosen the top nut. Its driving me crazy! Any ideas or suggestions? What worked for you?

Pretty much. I had my Dad, hold the vice grip, while I turned the nut with the combo wrench.

channel locks are the sh**! Got em!

If your not planning on reusing them just cut the shaft then grind out the left over material. If you want to reuse them the vise grip idea should work, just make it as tight as you possibly can, then tighten it a little more.
