Hi all, just seeing if anyone has any ideas or carry a roto/fuelpax gasoline cans with their Roof Cargo Boxes (Eg. Thule / Yakima ). setups?
Obviously I shouldn't put the gas containers inside the boxes due to heat and smell, so what have others done? I
thought about either tucking them under my thule box (not sure how I would secure them) or somehow mount the rotopax besides the thule box on the same roof cross bars but I don't see any generic mounts that would do this.
I'm using factory rails, thule crossroad (square) cross bars, and a large Thule Box which I have offset to the passenger side that eats up 2/3 of the roof.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Life would be much easier with a flat roof rack but unfortunately that isn't in the cards right now on my upcoming trip to Alaska. Any ideas on locking these down also would be appreciated since I will be leaving my truck for hours on the side of a road or parking lot to do some hikes.
