idk wats up with this truck

ok so i havent had much time to try to figure out wats wrong with my truck but i was wondering if any of you had run into this problem i can start it up and it will idle up to 2000 rpm and when it goes to drop back to idle it dies, if i give it some gas it will run but not very good it still sputters and if i let off the gas it dies. any help would be much appreciated as i have been driving my motorcycle everywere for the past week and the temps are starting to drop into the lower 50's and upper 40's getting a little cold to ride a crotch rocket
