idle after supercharger installed

I installed my supercharger yesterday and took my 4runner for a drive! Very nice power gains! Anyway, I have the 3.4 2000 4runner, once the engine became hot the idle would drop to about 300rpm. Is this normal until the computer adjusts or should I just raise the idle?

Thanks.

Hopefully by now, the idle has reset itself, as there is now a lot more vacuum being produced. Im not sure which model you have, but I had the sport, and it was fully loaded, which apparently has a lot of vacuum producing pumps etc-thats the word I got from the dealer!- which will on occassion create a low rpm condition because of all the pumps running at the same time. Mine would on occassion actually stall after coming off an off ramp when I depressed the clutch- so you had to be aware of this. It might happen once a year, or 3 times in a day! It actually didn't happen for the last year I owned the truck. Hope you enjoy your ride.

Thanks for the reply. Mine is a fully loaded sport. 5 speed. I was afraid it would stall. Hasn't yet.

According to my manual, the idle is fully electronic. So hopefully it will come up a little once it sees the new supercharger.

Basically, you have the same exact vehicle I had! Because the idle is electronic, there is no adjustment to it. If it stalls and you notice it in time, just pop the clutch. It always did it on deceleration after having the engine do some braking, and then depressing the clutch.
You'll be happy to know, it holds up well in a head-on collision with a closing speed of over 80mph! Thats why I no longer have mine.
Have fun.
