I've seen several discussions on various generations/engines regarding RPMs. I was wondering if some folks would mind volunteering what their IDLE RPM runs on their second Gens?
My 95 3.0 Manual runs about 1600RPM IDLE. I know that is way off.
1. What should it be for a healthy motor? I'm thinking based on what I'm reading in various posts it should be about half that...
2. What options do I have to address this? Several postings imply everything from a flathead screwdriver and a few beers to an actual engine servicing. I'm not the kind of guy to tear down a motor on a weekend but I'm not scared of jumping in with both feet either.
Any guidance would be appreciated. I'll be surfing my service manuals tonight....
