Idle Too Low??

I've searched the forums about low idle speeds and want some final anwers.

I have a 93 V6 and I have found out that the flathead screw below the TOYOTA letters on the throttle body is the idle adjust screw.
Is this true?

I have also seen some people say that it could be a clogged EGR. I don't know how I could go about that...

It's been stalling everywhere from parking lots to stop lights and it's time to fix it.

Thank you, in for idle increase and out for idle decrease correct?

Yeah I think that's right. If you can keep it ideling long enough to adjust it while its running you should hear it rev up or down as you turn it. Otherwise give it a half a turn clockwise, start it & check the tach. Adjust as necessary.

I have mine adjusted to 1.3k cold. It then drops down to 0.8k thereabouts when warmed up. You may get different results as my engine is pretty messed up. Needs work.

Alright, I fixed it. Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know how to increase the idle speed on a 2001 ? The idle seems fine except with the AC on. It does not die, but it turns only 400 RPM when in drive. can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.
