Idling rough could it be blown head gasket?

i purchased a 97 4runner limited from the auction as-is. The car has rough idle also after driving it a while, i see on the tailpipe there is a watery oil type substance which falls down on the ground. The 4runner has 149K miles..

any ideas where should i start looking for symptoms? also has a check engine light...

it runs i commute 24-30 miles on it last 3 days.. when its idling its rough...

run down to a autozone or something else and asked them to pull the codes its free

could be bad plug wires if it idles and runs all together. my truck was runnig like crap last night so i started to fart around. I fulled one of the plugwires and it just came right out, didnt un-snap from the plug. I looked down in the hole and there was the connector still stuck to the plug.

just a thought.
