Example: for my 2003 SR5 AWD V8, i'd do the following…

$1,000 - OME 885/SAW 1.5 with 5100s, transmission or transfer case skid
$2,000 - Icon Stage 1, full skids
$5,000 - Icon Stage 1, RTT, front bumper/winch
$10,000 - Sell the 4Runner and buy a 2010+ Toyota Tacoma DCSB 4x4

$2,000 - CBI bumper with swingout
$5,000 - elocker, CBI with swingout, 33's or 34's, UCAs
$10,000 - supercharger, elocker, cbi with swingout, 33's or 34's, UCAs, winch, repaint a few parts, RTT maybe, more lights

This is assuming I had to spend the money right then on the truck, I might have more in my truck than I want to admit, but I could never see myself dropping $10k in mods all at once.

Yeah, I started out with a budget.

Then I found out the things I budgeted for wouldn't cut it for what I wanted my 4runner to do and had to replace parts I thought would do the job.

I'm much happier now that I've blown the budget. :banana:

$2,000 - Mid-Travel front + 2.5" Rear shocks with Resis or TRD S/C
$5,000 - Long travel front + 2.5" Rear shocks with resis and Deaver leaf spring conversion or Full turbo kit with standalone EMS and custom Intake manifold.
$10,000 - Fully built motor + Full turbo kit with standalone EMS and custom Intake manifold

But, my budget is always more like 200$ at a time lol.

5K lockers plus OME or King suspension. Lift, UCAs, and nice riding digressive shocks. Must ride nicely.
10K a nice used 4wd GM van to dominate the world.

$5000 - Link front and rear.

I was considering a new Tacoma. It's quiet, has a nice interior, but even in Double Cab configuration the rear seat room is tight.

So I decided to show my old 4Runner some love.

New LBJ's, ITRE, OTRE, steering rack bushings and boots, new brakes all around, new springs and shocks all around.

So far I'm at approx. $900.00.

New tires might be next.

I figure I've saved 38k over buying a new Tacoma, so far.
