If you were to use just one Grease...

I've been neglecting my Zerk fittings and I'm wondering if you were to use just one Lube/Grease on all the driveline fittings, what would you use. I know Toyota says to use 2 different types but frankly, I'm sure even the dealers don't do this. I was thinking of using Mobil 1 synthetic as it is Lithium based NLGI-2 but it is not Moly.

it's better to use anything than nothing. NaGl2 I was using is thin and seem to sling out in no time, therefore I switched to Mobil1 Synthetic for spiders. I'd imagine you can use good grease without issues.

Grease is cheap

Use a moly grease with the NLGI 2 rating. The lithium based grease is better for hinges and such. I have been using a cheap branded auto parts store grease since 2003, every 5000 miles when I do oil changes, no problems so far (108,300 miles)...

For performance Mystic JT-6 Synthetic Blend grease is hard to beat and the price makes it a no-brainer...great stuff!
