Hi, my 2016 SR5 is due for differential and transfer case fluid change. I did it before with Mobil1 75w-90 LS from Advance Auto Advance Auto Parts - Down for Maintenance
I also have some Liquid Moly GL4/5 75W90 Fully Synthetic Hypoid Gear Oil (1 Liter) - Liqui Moly LM22090 from FCP Euro Just a moment... that were left over when I did my German cars.
The Mobil on has a "L/S" meaning "limited slip", while the Liquid Molly doesn't but is labeled as "hypoid".
I looked at the Beginner's Maintenance post and noticed that the OEM for front and rear is Toyota Genuine Differential Gear Oil LT 75W-85 GL-5: Toyota part #: 0888502506, and the transfer case is Toyota SAE LF 75W: Toyota part #: 0888581080. I changed all with Mobil 1 75w-90 LS twice before and didn't notice any issues yet, wonder if this time I could use the same Mobil1 one LS or Liquid Moly, or should I stick to the OEM or Red Line recommended in the post?
