IFS locker/limited slip?

So yesterday i bought this IFS front with a 4inch lift. I bought for the gears (5 29), and already sold the lift to my buddy, who also has a 4runner. I got to looking at the front diff and it is defiantly not the same one that is in my 4runner. I am referring to the stuff located right to the right of the diff that appears to have vacuum lines and an electrical input.

I was wondering if anyone could explain to me what this is and if i should swap diffs, as i am already going to be swapping my aisin hubs with warn.

My guess is it's an ADD diff. Google 4runner ADD. If I were you I would leave the Aisin hubs on there. They are much stronger than the warn ones.

That "stuff" is the ADD actuator that engages 4WD on the 90+ trucks.
The earlier trucks used hubs (manual or auto) to lock the front axle into 4WD.
There's less wear and tear on the front end using hubs.
And if you mean your replacing Aisin manual hubs with Warn manual hubs, why? The Aisin hubs are better.

you can remove that ADD tube and install your manual (blank) hub instead. plus one on keeping the OEM hubs
