Been searching this forum, haven’t yet found a specific answer.
Is there a modification to allow interior 12V outlets to be made live with the ignition turned off?
The first modification I made to my 2002 Tacoma TRD 4x4 after I bought it new was to do the simple, quick jumper wire modification to make the Tacoma’s outlets live all the time. The circuit was still protected by fuse. Involved a short wire and a couple of connectors run between two points in the fuse box under the hood. I owned the truck until this past July and never had any issues whatsoever with the modification.
I am certain the electrical system in my 2018 SR5 is far more complex than my ‘02 Tacoma so don’t want to go poking around in there and then blow the truck’s brain. Anyone here done it, and how?
