Just came back from a 2 hour drive from the mountains. When I pulled the key out of the ignition it was hot! Almost to hot to touch, as was the ignition. Anyone else experience this? Defrost was running the entire time on high but would the heat from that heat up the ignition that hot? Maybe this is why so many have replace ignition solenoids???

Mine does this all the time, especially in the summer. Curious to find the answer too.
Went on a few more trips. It's not doing it now. Staying nice and cool. The only thing different is I didn't have to use the defrost as much. Perhaps running defrost mode heats it up. Going to test it out since it's cold as hell.
On a happier note my LX450 wheels should be done this week. Had them blasted and coated matte black.
