Illinois lost title

I'm headed to pick up a 1st gen with out a title this afternoon was lookin to do a complete body swap onto my 84 frame. How hard is it to get a lost title in Illinois/ Indiana ?

When I had to replace a lost title here in Utah, I had to start with the DMV and fill out a lot of paperwork explaining who had the truck before me and how I got it from them. Then a county officer had to come out to perform a VIN inspection, then the DMV spent several frustrating months sitting on their asses while they were supposed to be contacting the previous owner to verify the truck wasn't stolen. Then they mailed me a title. YMMV.

Not hard. Just go to the DMV and apply for a new title. Don't know $$ though.
