Looks great!!

Care to detail mine next?? :D

Thanks, Only if you have an M5 or M3. I actually love detailing. Been doing it for quite a while. It's how I used to make $$ in high school 12 years ago.

Ditto...I when I first got out of school I was doing them on the weekends to make a little extra $$. I would love to do it again, but I just don't have that much free time anymore...

Looks good. I deal with too much green on a daily basis for me to get that color, tho....

What are you a banker????

Don't knock the color, I was'nt my first choice, but I thought it looked ok, and I needed an SUV ASAP to pull my GREEN and white boat. :D

No. The color is good. Toyota makes sure of that part in any color. Not a BANKER, just a soldier (have to wear green last 18 years...)

Oh, I understand. I would have opted for Black or Silver, but they Green, Red and a strippy black one.

SHICKS, do you have any pics of your center console? I have that wood trim stuff on my 99 4runner and never really liked it, i see you have some sore of solid color, i think black? More pics is appreciated

It looks nice, but i would have to change a good amount of peices to have them all black like that. Im still debating the idea. But thanks alot for the pics :)

Thanks.

In 2 years I have never been through a carwash with this one, hand wash only. I would rather drive with an inch of salt on the piant than go through one of those drive through power sanders.

I keep a fresh coat of wax/sealant on the paint every six months. I use meguires gold class. It does not leave any white residue on moldings ect... After each wash with a good brand of car wash, not dish soap unless you want to strip wax. I use Eagle one Wet, it's a quick detailer, makes the paint very glossy after each wash.

On the inside I have been using Armor All leather care. It works OK, I am not sure that 4 runners actually have leather, it seems more like pleather to me. On the good side it does not wear like my Dads Escalade did after a year. On the dash I use another Meguires product, I forget the name, but It works very well.

On tires I use a foam by Armor All.

This spring I may clay bar the paint. I have never done this before, but I hear it gives great results.

The best tip I have, is to keep a spray bottle of cool water and clean soft cloth with you when buffing the wax off. Mist the area you just buffed and wipe with cloth. This smooths the wax out, and give a more even coat of wax that will shine and last.
