I'm comin' to Colorado!

Well I decided I'm gonna tag along w/ my dad to Colorado over spring break to do a little skiing and hopefully meet up with a few of you Colorado guys! We will be leaving for Colorado either Monday, March 15th or Tuesday March 16th. Then we will likely be leaving Saturday the 21st or Sunday the 22nd. I talked my dad into doing a trail with his 2003 4runner 4x4 if you guys are interested in doing one...it would have to be somewhat early Saturday though if we were to attend as we will probably be leaving late Saturday night. If not maybe we could all grab a bite to eat some where or maybe it'll have to wait 'til next time! I just thought I'd throw this out there and see what's going on. :bigok:

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I think we should have a huge meet in colorado sometime, like the fj guys.
 
sounds like a blast, would love to met your dad, he did a good job raising you, cant be to bad of a guy, lol
Let us know when for sure, Im sure we can help you out on a run that both of you will have a good time on :bigok:

That's an awesome idea! I am driving out to Cherry Creek, CO for a week in August (flexible) and would love to be able to join - that's a ways out, but it might take a while to get a large scale meet going anyway, besides it's a starting point...

we "use" to do a Colorado 4Runner Jamorbee. but we have talked about doing something again. start a new thread so we dont clutter this one :biggrin2:

Is a run Saturday morning possible, what about a weekday? Boy I'm excited! I'm pretty sure we could make a Saturday run earlier in the day. :bigok:


He's a pretty good guy, he's taught me a whole bunch about cars, especially Toyotas! I remember when I was real little he had a Toyota Celica that had the flip up headlights... I used to think those were the coolest things!

Sounds great! Any excuse for a trail run is good, especially to "show off" our beautiful and fun mountains to out-of-towners. Big thumbs up to your Dad for playing along!

Yea those mountains sure are beautiful! He likes to do some off-roading, he is just concerned about messing up the truck. I hope we can make it Saturday!

sure thing, we can do sat. or sun. with even notice, some of us can do a weekday :bigok:
 
that sounds like an awesome trip, i've only been to CO once but i'm going again this summer may 24-june1 i think for a trip with this organization called Young Life. a place called crooked creek, any of your CO guys heard of it? anyways i just wanted to say take some pics on your trip!

No way, thats just weird. I went to snow camp twice at Crooked Creek with Young Life back in high school. I was actually a Young Life leader my senior year.

Haha yep. very good memories of that place. As a matter of fact, I had a photography project due the week after the one time I "worked" at Frontier Ranch and I took a picture from one of the mountain tops overlooking the whole camp. The other ones I've been to are, Cast Away (somewhere in Wisconsin I think), something that had the name Wolf in it but I cant remember and camp Malibu, in Canada haha lol.

sound like you've been to all the good ones. i'm pretty sure fronteir ranch is the best though. i'll let you know when i go to crooked creek though.
 
Well, we just got into Denver about 2 hours ago! We decided to take my 4Runner instead of my dads, I don't think my dad wanted to mess up his 4Runner, lol... plus mine has a CB so we can talk with you guys. Where are y'all planning on going Saturday? I'm excited :bigok:

On a side note, anybody know any places to go and have fun during the week in/around Broomfield? Can't ski until Wednesday b/c my dad got a little wreckless (so the ski patrol says) last time we were out and has to take a class on Wednesday so they can reinstate his lift pass. Usually I just hang out and play online computer games, but since I have my car here, :biggrin2:
