Howdy Folks!

New to the site and a new 4Runner owner. I've been wanting one of these things for years and finally had the opportunity go for it. Not really sure what, if anything, I want to do with it yet... All I know is I cant stop staring at it!

Thanks to everyone for posting up so much useful information. It really helped me make a good decision. I'm sure I'll have some questions so thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome. I just picked up an 02 Sport with 75k miles on it a couple months ago. I know exactly what you're talking about... I LOVE mine!

Nice ride. I just bought an 02 sport with 118K on it a few months ago, my 2nd 4runner. You are going to fall more and more in love with it as you go and find out how truly perfect it is. The 3.4L in the 3rd Generations go for a long long time if you take care of them. Good luck!

I sure hope it lasts a while. It's cherry inside, out & underneath so I can't imagine having any issues for a long time. It's time for a timing belt so that's my only concern. One owner & has all the maintenance records including the original window sticker. It's hard to believe that it has as many miles as it does, the engine compartment and undercarriage look brand new.

I just need to find someone I trust to work on it for me and somewhere to let her flex a little...

Anyone have any recommendations around Portland? Mechanics? Light off road areas?
