I'm new, and question about tailgate

Hi I just joined, I just bought a 94 4WD, with 114K miles, the inside is in great shape, mechanically good (except broken shock) and worn out tires, but the paint is not too good. Its a red one, which oxidized pretty fast, but my real question has to do with the tailgate. Its pretty rusted inside, and has been patched a couple times. I called up Certafit and they sell new primed tailgate bodies for 290 ish. Has anybody had experience working with a certafit tailgate, or do you recommend finding a used one in good shape in a junk yard?

I have found that putting a new sheel on is the biggest bitch ever. You have to swap out all the guts and the window will never line up right, the key wont lock, and a plethora or other stuff. Check the local scrap yard for a full unit, they will probably be cheaper and they wont have the hassle of gut swapping.
