Well my 4runner decided it dident like me anymore and broke down.
I was driving home, and all of the sudden it started bucking, and sputtering, and when i got to a red light it stalled and it wouldent start. so I had to push it to the side of the road, and call a tow truck :bash: which cost me $65.00 CND. not happy at all! im not looking forward to see how much it is going to cost me tomorow to fix it.

mine did the same thing when the o2 sensor died

it also enjoyed sputtering when the knock sensor wire erroded

$65 is cheap for a tow truck in Canada

It's a 91 and it's the first time it has ever broken down on you ? That's pretty good.

It might be your O2 or even worse an injector. Please let us know.

I'm also in bad shape

I have a 1995 toyota 4runner with a 3.0 engine. My problem is, I have a miss in the motor. I have had the plugs and wires replaced and still have the miss in it. I think it might be a lifter that is hanging up. Can you tell me anything on this matter. Please get back to me ASAP. I want to thank you for your help. The car is in mint shape, and I only had it for about 3 mounts now. It ran mint when I got it. For you info, I do here a taping noise in the motor. Please help. Same thing happened to my beater tercel after I washed the engine. The coil shorted out and had to be replaced ($100CAN). Hopefully your 4Runner has the same problem, or at least something else thats cheap to fix.

our family has AAA and its saved my ass plenty with getting my keys out while its locked or towing, and its all free, but my parents pay a premium(not sure how old you are) but even then the premium isnt that bad for how often we use it

I just talked to the tech, and he said its just the distrubter cap, that burnt. I thought it was going to be the fuel pump..... but thank god its an easy fix!

The distributer cap is prevent man. on your part like changing the oil and should be checked from time to time.
