Just bought a new to us 2005 SR5 V6 4WD for my son. We drove it back from the DC area yesterday and it performed flawlessly. Now we are starting to create the list of maintenance items given that it has 103k on the clock.
For one of them, we plan on draining and replacing the coolant. I've done a search but what other items do folks replace at the same time given the coolant is out. I was planning on hoses (radiator and heater), radiator cap, and thermostat. Do folks replace the pump as well? I'm assuming the serpentine belt would be appropriate if it hasn't been done yet.
The previous owner did a good job maintaining it, so already done recently are oil, diffs, spark plugs, and air filter. I figure I'll hit the transmission, transfer case, and PCV.
The family is real excited about 4Runner ownership. It has an Icon lift, 285s, and ARB bumper with winch. Now my lifted FJCruiser has competition for coolest ride in the driveway.
