In Baja 1.5 Years: 2014 Trail Edition's Perfect

Been living in Baja California Sur, Mexico for one and a half years, traveling mostly on a bumpy dirt road, pot-holed paved roads, and mountain roads with rocks and ruts.

Amazingly, not one new noise. Not a buzz or the tiniest rattle.

This is why I bought a 4Runner. Although it had a minor power-steering {fluke] issue only 4 months old, nothing since. Ok, I just noticed the sea air is starting to rust my tail pipe, but I should have taken it in and gotten it coated. Will do pronto.

But nothing mechanical, and I have given her a thrashing. One flat tire and several nails in the tires, but it's Mexico and I am waiting to buy All-Terrains or the like.

It's hard to believe.

4Rager, how do you compare the Kenwood to the OE sound system? I have never been impressed by the 4Runner speakers. I had a Camry XLE JBL system OE (yes I was a dad) and it was way crisper and clearer than the 4runner.

Mine rattles and squeaks like a coffee can full of screws on smooth roads like every Toyota I've owned, so you must have a special one or are more deaf than I am.

Also, WTF is with all the rusty tailpipes?
