Well, the seats or bases were replaced along with the appropriate o-rings and seals. I replaced the o-rings and cushion gaskets on the injectors themselves. Some of the seats were really coked up(90k on them). It's alot of "fun" pulling the intake on these. Some of the gaskets were quite hard and probably leaking to a large degree. Still have the timing belt and water pump replacement to go. After replacing the valve cover gaskets and pcv, I give it to toyota, the cams were absolutely spotless after 90k. I can see why people can get 300k out of these engines.

Sounds like you have a good one, I hear and see so many 3VZ horror stories it's nice to actually see one being taken care of that isn't a total pile.

It was handed down from a family member with only 50k on it, now has 90k(1990). Thanks though, I try and keep up on maintenance as best as possible. Nice to see someone local on the board as well, probably seen your truck around town.

i actually have to replace those plastic injector seats as they pritty much disintegrated when i tryed to remove them , how much did they run you?

They ran $9.59 each through autohausaz.com. There is an outer o-ring seal and inner cushion seal that need to be purchased separately for the holder. This is over and above the cushion seal and o-ring for the injector itself. Hope this helps.
