In the market.. got some questions

I am in the market to get an 03 4Runner. Im looking at the SR5 V6 with AP. Is there anything i should know about this truck? Since this is the first year of the new model, are there any problems that many people are having?

lastly, where can I find incentive information for the Long Island, New York area online?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Most of the problems people are having are generally noises -- creaks, rattles, etc. A few are reporting a valve noise, too.

Check through this forum. There are a lot of people that have already shared their experiences. Yotatech also has a bunch of stuff, although many people on this forum also belong to that one.

As far as incentives, have you checked Edmunds or Consumer Reports?

I actually did look at few posts... one about total power loss... i got a little scared with that one.. lol


I checked edmunds but they had nothing. I checked Toyota but couldnt find anything. My father heard some stuff ont eh radio, so thats why i was asking...

Unfortunately, no digital camera yet. On the hunt looking for one.

Actually, if you just want to see the color, go to this thread: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=784 Mine has the cladding, which really helps the titanium color have a contrast to it. It also has the gray interior, which the one in the thread seems to have (follow the line to eBay to see additional pictures).

If you want to see what one looks like without the damage, then the gallery is your best bet for now.
