Incapable of Editing Past Posts

Hey Y'all,

I'm wondering if any of you have experienced that it's impossible to make edits to your past posts? I've tried on many occasions with no luck. I know this forum is deader than dead, but are there any moderators still around that care enough to get this fixed?

I just tried and had no problem...but my oldest post I could find was from 11-2024, so not that old but it was the oldest post that was shown in my "posts" available in my profile.

Yes, there are Moderators around that care, but unfortunately they don't have the capability to fix things like that.

BTW, I just went back to posts from 2020 and could edit them.

Weird. I cannot edit any of my previous posts. When I edit and then click save, nothing happens.

I figured out the work around. I have to click edit and then edit a second time and then I can make the changes I want.

Tim try and edit a post, save it and if it doesn't work then refresh the page/website/browser and see if the edit shows up, I suggest this because sometimes when I reply to a topic it seems to not work and my reply doesn't show up, but I found that when this happens if I refresh the page my reply will be there, it's like the forum software is not refreshing the website as it's being used sometimes.

Yeah, same here. It's hit or miss when it happens. Another issue that'll probably never be fixed hwell:

I know this forum is deader than dead, ...

I'd say that this board is very active. I'm a member of a regional forum that started back in the 1990s and was extremely active in the day. Now, even though still online, a year to 18 months go by between posts. I'm surprised it hasn't been euthanized.

It's a veritable ghost town compared to even a few years ago.
Right now there's 11 people online at 1:00 PM. Years ago there'd be 1,000 or so, at night way more.

But it's actually doing better than other Toyota/car forums I frequent or moderate.
