Had a pretty good conversation with technical support at Revtek today. I just bought my 2000 4runner & it has the revtek kit so I decided to calla and ask a few questions.
The revtek kit is called a 3" kit but it adds 3" in the front and 2 to the rear. It also comes with the differential drop spacer so I just need to confirm it was installed. According to the guy I talked to it is designed to run with stock length shocks in the front so no change there. You can go with a 1" longer shock in the rear and a 1" longer spring to get a little more travel and level.
He also mention that on all toyota 4 runners from 1998 to 2001 there was a recall on the rear springs due to sagging and they all should have a TSB re: replacement. Ayone have any info on that one?
I'm thinking of looking for a 1" longer springs for the rear. I really like the ride of the rig currently. Some say its too stiff but for what I do it is about right - daily drive and some light off roading.
