Info on these TRD wheels

what's the general concensus on 285's ?
I am considering getting these wheels...
I have Cornfed leveling spacers in the front, which raised the front end up about an inch total.
I had FN countersteers with 265's, then changed back to stock wheels but went to Firestone Destination AT's in 285. From that change, I got a slight rub on the front inner fender well at full lock in reverse.
What about these FN FX Pro wheels on my setup with the same 285's? Think I'll get a worse rub than with stock wheels?

So tire kingdom is running a sale on grappler G2's 265/70/17 so I was going to get them for $660 out the door and at drop off today the manager came running out and says no way is he installing tires on my brand new Toyota TRD pro factory wheels because of the Matte black finish is too easy to scratch and he is not taking a liability. Yeah we got in a agruement and I walked away... are these things that easy to scratch that tire shops are refusing to put tires on em?!?!?!

How did you blackout your roof rails? Dip, paint, or vinyl?

I used a vinyl kit that [MENTION=140216]cd4pro[/MENTION] was selling. It works great.

Take the bars off and drop them at your local powder coater. Should cost you about $60 to $75.00 depending on the finish and Quality. If you were local I keep an extra set that I powder and just swap them out when you take your off.

Love the way your truck sits! What drove you to go with spacers? I just got some pro wheels today and am going with the same tire setup on a white TP. Does your ride seem like it sits a little nose high?

I just went with the Leveling spaces cause I didn't want too much of a lift just wanted to remove the factory rake...
it's actually pretty level my pics just not the straightest.
did you do the install yourself? Not sure if I'd like to try that myself.

I agree and had even come across this realization a few days ago. Problem is, I can't find them any more. It appears they have come out with a new version that has a more convex setting as opposed to the newer version with the concave look (or at least I think I have the terms straight). If anybody knows who still stocks this previous/original version, hit me up! I like these center caps better than the FN version.
