Info on these TRD wheels

Is this in reference to a "Yet to be released" wheel (as Mooney suggested), or something that's already available? Mooney seemed to have an inside scoop on something coming down the pike straight from TRD - but seems to have clammed up on the topic for now
SR5 Wheels + BFG KO 265 + Spidertrax treating me well for the time being. I can wait
I saw the same post from [MENTION=114376]Mooney[/MENTION] too. Someone else commented on the same subject of his post and claimed the 8" TRD wheels were for the Tundra only.
I have no first hand knowledge either way but an 8" version for the 4Runner would be nice.

This would definitely be an option if Toyota doesn't pull through on some 8" wide TRD pro wheels. I am really interested in countersteer type x but if I could get 8" wide TRD wheels and spidertrax I would much rather that set up.
BTW the auction is back up for those knock of wheels.

Those eBay 17x8"s have a 4.5" BS - I don't think Spidertrax would be needed here?
That's what I'm ultimately looking for - something in the vein of the Black TRD Wheels in 7.5"-8" width with a bit more offset/backspacing than the 17x7" TRD's (or about equal stance to the SR5 17"'s with Spidertrax, but with the extra 1" wheel width extended inwards towards the spindle).
If I'm going to drop $600+ on wheels, they'd better have the stance I want as-is (w/o spacers)

I purchased mine from Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa, AZ for $185 and some change. I asked if they would match another dealers online price and they did. I would call a local dealer and ask what they will do for you.
I only purchased 4 wheels.

As mentioned earlier I had a pair of the 7" TRD wheels and they weren't playing well with my 285's. Reluctantly I contacted Dustin at FN Wheels realizing I needed to divide looks with practicality. Don't get me wrong . . . I really liked many of the FN designs, however there was something about the look of the TRD that was love at first sight.
After speaking with Dustin at length about options, he confided in confidence that FN was creating their own version of the TRD . . . obviously it couldn't be exact to avoid intellectual property protection, however it would be close. The problem was that I needed a wheel now (back in Nov/14) and his new wheels wouldn't be released until the first half of '15.
Originally Dustin mentioned around February news of the wheels could be released, I was obviously chomping at the bit as there were many of you not wanting the 7" version and trying to make a purchase decision.
Just got word from Dustin the wheels will be here next month, details now available, below is a picture of the FN version. He sent the photo but I'm waiting for the specs . . . I know it's 8", different center cap, conical seat lug, eliminated large mag-shank style lug nuts with the washer used on the OEM's.

I can't see the picture. I like the sounds of it though.
IMO. Totally a knock off, plain shameless copy. Would be great for people who want to save some money.

Hmm, not sure I'm following you, if Toyota made an 8" version I don't believe there would be demand for a "knock off."
Most don't purchase FN wheels to "save some money."

Here is my 4th Gen. Put them on last Friday. Love the look.

I think I'm dreaming.
Depending on the offset, price, and colors available im pretty much sold. These wheels in the new graphite color the couontersteer x's come in would be PERFECT. But basically 8 inch wide TRD pro wheels are exactly what I'm looking for and probably lighter and wider offset too. Can't wait too see more picture. If you have any please post them up!!!!

Better built most likely lighter more practical wheels is not the definition of a knock off. Besides, chances are they will cost more for the higher quality. If they made TRD Pro wheels in 8" wide and larger offset I would already own them.
