Then they should do a different design. You have to admit that whoever see this design will say that it is a Toyota TRD design rather than saying that it is a FN design. They may know materials and constructions, what a shame that they couldnt come up with their own design too.

Why not? The design itself can be patented. Just because they made it 1" wider, different backspacing and different material doesn't mean it's a completely different wheel. As an analogy, it's the same reason why Apple sues over people copying the iPhone design. Even though it may run different hardware and a different OS if it looks exactly the same as an iPhone then it's still a ripoff and they can still sue over the design itself. Now Toyota probably won't care about FN copying their design because it's such a niche market but it's a blatant ripoff in design. The same reason why the ebay wheels are knock offs as well, even if they are listed at 8" wide.
Agreed. I am interested in the FN wheel but even I admit that it's a blatant copy of the TRDP wheel. Not sure how anyone could deny that.

People want something wider than a 7" wheel IMNSHO. TRD won't listen, so FN did. At least that's how I see it

I don't see it on the FN wheel website. What would be even more cool would be if they were offered in 18s. I know a lot here have a disdain for 18s... I understand the lower profile tire to keep the correct rolling diameter, lower cost...
But 18s would just make it a bit different to stand out from all the 17" truck oriented wheels out there.

Good news:
My order was SHIPPED, I got the Fedex tracking number, they are coming from FL, and will get to San Diego next Tuesday!
Bad news:
I paid $156.95 for each, bought 4, shipping was only $43.95; the ordered total for 4 of them is $671.75 shipped from FL to CA, no tax! But they immediately bumped the price up to $185 each. They probably figured out that they were not making money/losing money on them at that price.

So, please, NO ONE should call and ask them why, they probably will figure out and change the price right the way. If you WANT the gray ones, snatch them up! This is probably the best price you will every seen these shipped to you!

I am doing KO2 265/70R17, keeping it stock, even when raised, 265/70R17 doesn't look small at all..... 275/70R17 isn't much bigger, but if not lifted, run the risk of rubbing....
So they called me and said 156 was a mistake on their website. It is 185/wheel shipping included. lol. have to think about it.
Do you have a screenshot for the invoice and everything? They advertised it, they have to sell it to you. Or else it is "Bait and Switch" (aka Bait advertising)
You shouldn't let them get away with it.

Exactly! I think that's the reason why they went thru with MY order. They never called me, and my order was shipped (I haven't received them yet, but Fedex tracking is showing delivery next Tues).
So, I think they should go thru with 3sash3mi's order, and then change the price to $185/ea afterwards.

Well. When the guy called and told me about their "mistake" and suggested the new price, I reluctantly agreed for the cancellation and asked them to send me the new invoice to paypal. I was in a meeting and did not have the time to prolong the conversation. Later on as I thought more about it, I ended up canceling the invoice. I did sent them a followup email outlining my sentiments about their bait and switch techniques. Of course I did not hear back.
Only thing I can suggest is avoiding doing business with folks like them.
Anyway I ended up buying a Level 8 punch wheel today locally and fitted it with BFG KO2. The TRD Pro wheel will have to wait for now

I had my parts department call my local dealer to see what they'd sell us a set for (wholesale) and it was $190 a wheel. I stopped by in person and asked for the parts manager, I told him I was from the Audi dealer down the street and was quoted $190 a wheel but I wanted to stop in and offer them the sale if they were willing to price match as I'd rather spend money locally. I showed him a screen shot with the part number for the gray wheels (I hate black wheels, they look cheesey and make vehicles look cheap and generic - no offense to anybody on that bandwagon) and the cost. He started typing away and he's like it's my policy to not sell anything to anyone outside for cheaper than I'd sell it internally to the my own company. He showed me what dealer cost is and that selling at that price he'd be making almost $6 profit per wheel. He said the best he'd do is $25 per wheel over cost ($180) because thats what he'd sell them to the sales department for if they wanted to put them on a vehicle. I told him I understand and there's no hard feelings, that I wanted to at least come in and give them the opportunity to match it before just buying somewhere else and thanked him for his time.
So I bought them from that link which sucks because had they matched the price sales tax would have been less than shipping. Shipping was my one complaint, the website said like $75 for shipping with a disclaimer that large or heavy items may not calculate shipping correctly through the website, which of course, it didn't. They called the next day and said the actual shipping cost would be about $25 more which is what I had expected to pay from the beginning. My only real complaint so far, although minor, is that they used Fedex. According to the tracking number they were loaded into a truck Friday afternoon to be delivered and since they don't deliver Saturdays I won't get them until Monday. It's not a big deal but my wife's out of town so I went into work yesterday to work on my truck a bit and I have tires sitting there waiting for the wheels so it would have been ideal if they came yesterday. Plus the fact that I have Bliazzak snow tires on my stock wheels and considering it's well into the 70's here I'd like to get them off ASAP.
All in all though, so far so good. Their communication has been great, there were no long delays or anything , they shipped them out quickly. I don't know why their prices are so low it's barely realistic and well below wholesale but I'm going to start cross referencing parts pricesses with them for everything but the basic maintence items.
