Info on these TRD wheels

After much reading of this thread and other threads on this forum, I finally settled on the gray TRD wheels with BFG A/T KO2 tires in 265 x 70 R17. I originally wanted black TRD wheels, but couldn't find them because of the limited availability of them. So I went with the gray and am thrilled with the outcome.

I bought them from Bergstrom Toyota, who had them listed on eBay. I have noticed that they have sold several sets on eBay, but doesn't look like they currently have any listed.

I guess Toyota never planned on making a huge amount of these wheels, so supply has become a bit tight. Last I checked with my parts department a couple weeks back they said Toyota was almost clamping down completely on sales unless they were for warranty/collision purposes. I imagine at some point they'll build up enough of a reserve to sell them again?

I have a 3 inch toytec lift and radflo rear coils, same wheels with BFG KO2 in 285 and no rub, i removed the mud flaps just in case but after turning i don't think it'll rub. I also have light racing UCA.

Just wanted to check but with the trd pro wheels full turn your hitting the spc arms? I have the same lift but 0 offset wheels and wanted to get the Trd wheels which are a +4 ?

I found my set of gray on Ebay for 780 shipped and tax.

I'm being told that dealers will be able to order the black trd's in mid June. I've got some purchased through the dealer...just waiting to be able to place the order with toyota.

I'm being told that dealers will be able to order the black trd's in mid June. I've got some purchased through the dealer...just waiting to be able to place the order with toyota.

I hope this is true, any idea on how much the black ones will be? I see the cost for the gun metal gray..

I can understand Toyota stopping sales of the black wheels. They need them for the Pro's. But, why did the supply of the grey wheels dry up also?

That's easy....they look better.

I too have an extra but only because Discount Tire scratched one of mine up installing new rubber on the original set.

For the right price, my grays are for sale.

Yes, they're back everywhere it seems. I got mine for around 780 shipped and tax. I was considering the FN, but I'm not going wider than stock.

thinking about buying some lug nuts with a lock on them? Haven't noticed too many guys have them based on the pictures I've seen. My truck sits a few times a month in a parking lot for a few days at a time..would hate to have the rims stolen. Thoughts?
