Injector Solenoid Click

Why are these solenoids so loud!, I have been posting questions here etc, Finally broke it down and took it to a Stealer

They said the solenoids are the sound I am talking about and not a valve lash issue.

Are everyone else`s injector solenoid loud like mine
(1992 SR5 3.0 V6)

I have never heard of the injectors making noise.
It is always the valves that tick.tick.tick.

So why is it that when I put a stethoscope on the injector solenoid I hear a click?

Of course a solenoid makes a click, the clicking sound increases with rpm and is audible in the driver's seat.

The solenoids DO click, but they're not going to be what you hear from the driver's seat. The valves will click much louder than the injectors, and are more likely what you're hearing. Go to youtube and look for videos of a 22R (not a 22RE) and you'll hear the same noises. The 22R is a very loud engine.

they are audble in my moms '88. v6 Can't really tell if its solenoids or valves , tho.
you can hear it on the inside.......

Bow to Lucas

I just changed my oil for the 3rd time in 2 months, put in 10w30 Castrol with about 1/4 of a bottle of Lucas Oil Additive,
The thing is super super quiet now, and no longer have a "lack of lube" sound on startup
I highly recommend this stuff, it is running so smoothly I wish I had a before and after
