Insanely annoying loose vanity/sun visor

So I've got an 01' limited with the homelink visor....which continually falls from the cieiling to the position you might have it if the sun were blinding. dealer wants 250 for a new one....anybody have any ideas on a fix or something?

Please help before I go punching holes in the roof trying to get the stupid thing to stay up.

OK, so I took it off...now I just can't get the shaft out of the visor...any tricks? I got it used and the shaft has a hairline crack so someone else must have attempted this.

Ok, I have an 05 so im not sure what material the headliner is, but what if you just use some velcro with an adhesive back to keep the visor up. That way you can easily pull it down when you actually need it.
