Install AUX input on stock (base) stereo

I have a sweet MP3 player that I want to be able to connect to my stock stereo of my 2004 4runner. The tape adapter sucks---with horrible sound. Is there a way to connect an AUX input onto the stock stereo? I thought I read about this a while ago but cant remember/find the thread.

Also, can someone recommend an adapter and a place to buy it?
