Install OEM fog lights?

My 2003 SR5 did not come with standard fog lights and I would like to install some OEM lights. I have picked up a pair of used ones locally but they have no bulbs or connectors. I took out the plastic "hole filler" and installed the assembly's and they look fine. I know I can do a wiring harness etc. and make them work, but there are 2 unused plugs near the turn signal and I was wondering if there were for the factory fogs? There is also a spot in the underhood fuse box marked "fog". Does anyone know how to hook them up? Also, is the bulb and holder/connector a dealer only part? Any help is appreciated. BTW, I searched and came up empty. Thanks.

Your owners manual should be able to verify -- I believe the fog light switch is on the headlight stalk.

Mine also didn't have any fog lights, and after hearing how little light they produce (and seeing it firsthand on a rental), then I decided that it wasn't worth the effort to find and install them.

I believe all 4Runners were wired for the Fog lamps. I too have the hookups for the fog lights. However, if your 4Runner didn't come with fog lights, then you will not have a fog light switch on the stalk. Current may flow to connectors anyway, but I haven't tested it. Be sure to comment if you get them working. I am thinking of getting some, and would love to see some pics!

You are right. There is no switch on the stalk. How would one find out the correct relay for the fuse box? I thought I had read that there may be wiring for the switch behind the dash? Thanks.

I believe all 4Runners were wired for the Fog lamps.

Not quite correct -- some, like mine, do not have the wiring. You need to go under the truck to see if you have the wiring in place.

not sure if they are wired from the factory but an option for fog lights are winjet fogs if you have an 06+

Sorry to revive old thread but I'm going to install oem fog lights on my 03 4runner cause it didn't come with one. I have the auto headlight with fog switch stalk. I also looked at the front where the fog light suppose to be and there's another plug that looks like it should just plug in to the fog lights. I searched for how to install but maybe one of the member can direct me. Have questions.

1. Is it just plug and play?
2. Do I need any wire harness?
