Longtime lurker here finally chiming in........After reading Airbur's post on the Kenwood 7100 ( so many times I think I memorized it ) I finally got around to my install. I got a great price on the Kenwood 6019 and a steal of a deal from ebay on the Garmin Nav unit. The DVD install was a piece of cake, with the only problem being the poor FM reception. After much research I realized the 4Runner has a FM booster that had to be wired into. FM reception is fantastic now. I also installed the SWI-Jack steering wheel controls and I am glad I did.

From my last vehicle, I dropped infinity Kappa 6x9's and Polk tweeters in the front, along with 5.25 Polk db's in the rear. Amps and sub were carry-overs also. Old school RF 400a4 sends 50 x 4 to the mids/highs and a 360a2 sends around 400 to the 12" Punch hx2. i tried to fit both amps behind the storage bin in the rear but they just wouldn't fit so I had to put them on the back seat. The install was straight forward and very easy. Some pics:

Overall I'm pretty pleased - the sound is phenomenal. Couple things I don't like - the headunit sticks out 1/2", it's not totally flush. I used the parts from Toyota ( forgot the part # ) to fill in the gaps on the side but I need to find a better trim ring. The Metra kit will be here this week so I'll try that. I'll also build a smaller sub box and carpet it in lighter gray.
