Installation kit for Toyota VIP RS3000 security system

I've bought a RS3000 Toyota security system to install in my son's 2001 TRD Tacoma (My 05 4Runner has the newer RS3200).

The Tacoma install calls for an installation kit with Toyota part number 08586-3D841. The dealer I bought the base system from says that this install kit is discontinued by Toyota, and that their inventory system says NO dealers have the kit in stock. I contacted several other dealers and all have said the same thing.

It looks like the kit is a wiring harness, the piezo buzzer and status light, plus some foam tape and zip ties. I'm not a brave enough installer to try to wire it myself, and would prefer to try to find the install kit somewhere.

Anybody have any advice on this for me? Thanks...

ADDENDUM:

The dealer where I purchased the system called today and said that they pulled the box, and the system had been picked apart for parts...it was missing several components (I thought it had shipped a week ago!).

I cancelled the order given that I can't find the install kit anywhere (with the exception of "BrandSport" who offered to sell me the install kit for $240 (MSRP: $85).

SO...this thread is now about....What AFTERMARKET security system would you recommend for a 2001 Toyota Tacoma?

Go to the SPECIAL ACCESSORIES OFFERS tab - PARTZNET had the RS3200Plus for like $56 and claim its was for the 2000-2002 4Runners. I bought the Yota kit for my '03 and it came with everything (tie wraps, foam, wiring, glass breakage) -- I did have to go to use the Fuzitsu FAX back site for very detailed install, testing and operating instructions (did same for my wife's 03 Camry).
