installed Bilstein 6112's at top notch

if you guys are wondering how the Bilstein 6112's look at top notch
here you go


settled a bit


with 265/65 R18 tires, there's only about an 1 1/2' of space between UCA and tire so i may need spacers for wider tire.


its sitting nose high because i haven't done the back yet... fronts killed my back, these are a pain in the a$$ to install, assembling them took forever... because those springs are strong! took 2 guys to hold in place while i tighten the top nut. (very dangerous if it slipped off the spring mount machine)

going with with Toytec Superflex and Bilstein 5100 shocks for the rear.

big difference from the daystars 2.5 1.5 spacer kit...

Looks good! I'm going to install some 6112's next week but was thinking of going with the 4th setting. How's the ride at the top notch?
 
it rides like stock but a little firmer, when going over bumps you will feel the smoothness of the dampening.
 
The brake lines will probably be tight but I don't think the 5100s will have enough travel to over-stretch them. I would double check to be sure. I lucked out and found a Overland Warehouse rear brake line extension bracket for mine. I installed my 6112's on the 4th notch but there isn't much down travel left so I may change that. How's the down travel on the top notch?
 
Don't know much about down travel to tell u the truth,It's a street queen so not much off-roading at most a curb, i wonder if I throw it down a notch would it feel more smoother but I love the height of it. Can anybody point me in the right direction for the over axel brake lines?
 
You won't need them for you rear set up I had the same and I wheel my rig and never had an issue what so ever...but if you want just want some just get some Stop Techs or Goodridge's SS extended brake lines off amazon or eBay Usually rears are 40-50 bucks same price for fronts.

thanks for sharing! I think I'm going to do the same, but will likely do the 5160 rears and a 1.5" spring like Wheelers T12, maybe do the 3rd notch from top on the 6112's.

Looks good though. Do you plan on going with a 265/70/17?

oh man i wanted the 5160 rears too but it was pricey at the time and since i don't do any off road driving it's not needed for me...
im already running 265 65 R18, i might go wider with spacers
