Installed Cooper LTZ's (yesterday)

In late December, I sold my 1997 T4R SR5 4WD (which I owned since it was new from the dealer with 230K miles) to anther T4R fan. The same week, I bought this clean 04 (from original owner). I never did mod my 3rd Gen and sold it stone stock!

Fast forward a few months, I originally was going to "slightly" mod my 4th Gen with small stuff; street wheels & tires being the first thing (80% of my driving is on road). After I installed the lift (I've always hated the rake); my original set up didn't look right (I had Toyo Proxies ST II). I went through many of scenarios (i.e go back to SE wheels - which I still might do, buy off-road style wheels and/or tires combos. I went with a 285/50-20 LTZ first & it was just too much tire)...and finally ended up with this setup - Cooper Zeon LTZ 275/55-20!

These 32's are pretty quite (not as much as stock or Toyo's) for AT's. They ride comfortably only firming the ride up a touch. I'm very pleased with the way it worked out!

Very Nice!!:thumb3: I love those tires. They have been one of my favorites for a long time but I haven't been able to find them anywhere locally (Discount Tire cant even get them).

What load range are those? I ask because they only come in E in the 265/70/17 size.

Yeah - the LTZ's, Nitto Terra & Trail, and TSR's are on the top of my list. Funny, you can't find at Discount (that's where I got them). No sure of the load range. it's not listed on their specs, but guess that if it was E; then they would say.

I'm driving up to Reno this weekend. It's expected to snow & storm heavy. I guess I'll be checking out its traction in snow & wet this weekend! There should be some good powder for boarding.

Funny, you can't find at Discount (that's where I got them).

What I meant to say was they dont have them in the 265/70/17 size. I called and spoke with one of the local managers and he said he couldnt even order them as they were on national backorder. I called Cooper and they confirmed this as well...so who knows. Treadepot.com has several of them in stock and really good pricing too if anyone else is interested.

I've heard they are great in the rain and i'm sure they will do ok in snow too with all their siping. I just went on a ski trip to Keystone, CO last month...awesome time.

I might be going up to Tahoe from SF soon too, where do you board at? I just got new tires on my 04 last week too, 265/70/17 Geolandar A/T-S. We can compare

Cool. I have a weekdays-only pass @ Sugar Bowl (awesome) and I go up to Squaw a lot w/ co-workers who have passes there. Want to start checking out more resorts next month though, I'll PM you about it next time we go!
