Today was a very productive day; stopped off at Toyota and provided them with Royal Purple engine oil and transmissoin fluid to install in my 4Runner in the morning. Wow, I can tell a difference truely; smoother shifting and my rig just felt more responsive. Toyota also installed my NEW and unwarped Brembos that I previously had issues with Tire Rack on; no more vibrations!!!!!
Next was to get my Gibson installed! First off let me tell you that I purchased the exhaust from Burtman Industries and it did take a while due to the economy and a made to order setup that Gibson is using. When it arrived Gibson had sent me the V8 version rather then the V6; I contacted Jason and he was all over it. He had Gibson shipping out the correct head pipe for the V6 the next day on Burtman's dime; I shipped back the V8 thereafter. Overall great customer service and I highly recommend going through Jason to anyone.
Now to the good stuff; I picked up my 4runner from the local muffler shop and the Gibson sounds SWEEEEEET and looks great to boot. I'm coming off a Flowmaster 50 Delta on my 07 Tacoma and that was quiet; the Gibson sounds louder and better then the Flowmaster hands down. A lot of folks were writing how the Gibson is quiet so I was expecting to hear less, but I'm definitly pleased to report that this is the perfect exhaust for what I was looking for. The Royal Purple/Gibson combo really has transformed my 4Runner! I'll post some pics if anyone's interested, but there are a few other postings out there that paint the picture of what this thing looks like.
